Beware of Partial Obedience
There’s a lesson for us all here. When God instructs us to totally drive out any subdued evil influence in our lives, we should do exactly that.
We should not compromise and cohabitate with them thinking that we have defeated them before and ‘what harm can they do now?’ Let’s obey God and totally destroy or drive out everything He tells us to get rid of. Let’s obey, for to obey is better than sacrifice and to hearken than the fat of rams. Remember Saul.
So when David came against the Jebusites with his band of men, they mocked Him. The Jebusites considered themselves to be secure and impenetrable in their lofty heights on mount Zion. They laughed Him to scorn, saying. “Even the blind and the lame will drive you away” they scoffed (2 Sam. 5:6).
But David ignored their mockery. His trust in God remained unshakable. He and his men ascended the difficult, rocky watercourse that came from Zion, sneaked on the Jebusites with a surprise attack and captured mount Zion. Here he set up his own fortress, and called it the City of David. From here on his kingdom was established. “And David perceived that the LORD had established him king over Israel, and that he had exalted his kingdom for his people Israel’s sake” (2 Sam. 5:12).
My Dear brothers and sisters, is the enemy mocking you today?
Is he telling you that you cannot overcome the issues of life you’re facing? Don’t listen to the devil, don’t look at the size of the mountain, and don’t listen to your flesh or the voice of unbelief. Trust in the Lord and by His Spirit, you will conquer the mountain. You are well able. The Lord is your strength. He is the saving strength of His anointed ones (Psa 20:6, Psa 28:8). He will give you victory by the strength of His right hand.
Anointed Ones Will Exercise Priestly and Kingly Dominion
With the priestly anointing, the end-time anointed ones will occupy intercessory roles for reconciling people with God. They will supernaturally connect people and nations to God through the Blood of Jesus that makes atonement for everyone in the whole world.
And as people with kingly anointings, these ones will exercise the dominion of the Kingdom of God in setting men free from satanic bondages, from sicknesses, and from infirmities. These are the overcomers, the rod of His strength through whom God will subdue Christ’s enemies.
Adam’s offense brought the reign of death over humanity. The reign of death brought us sorrow, pain, fear and despair, sicknesses, diseases, infirmities, plagues, epidemic, pandemic, oppression, depression, poverty, barrenness, famine, calamity, wars, devastations, defeat, mental anguish, and all manner of unnatural disasters that Satan, the despotic emperor, could dream of to unleash upon humanity.
But, in the same way that God anointed Jesus Christ of Nazareth, He has also anointed these overcomers with the Holy Ghost and with power and they will go forth with priestly access to the Throne of God and kingly authority to deliver men and women from the dominion of death and satanic bondage. By the anointing of the Holy Spirit they will break the gates of brass, cut the bars of iron in sunder, proclaim liberty to the captives, and opening of prison to them that are bound. They have receive abundance of grace to do these.
For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ. (Rom 5:17)
Are You Going to be One of Them?
It is a high and holy calling, but for these overcomers it is more. They are “called, and chosen, and faithful” (Rev. 17:14). In union with the Son they have partaken of the Father’s nature. Therefore the Father’s Name is in their foreheads. They are not only born of God, they are thoroughly disciplined as His sons, and conformed to the image of the only Begotten Son of God.
They are a people that are totally victorious over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name. They did not run away from the battle. They have fought a good fight and have kept the faith, in the midst of the battle.
They are not escapees from the battle, they are overcomers. They confronted the evil hosts head-on, and overcame; not in their own strength, but by “the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony.” They are true witnesses. “They loved not their lives unto the death” (Rev. 12:11).
Are you going to be one of them?
The invitation has gone out to “whosoever will”. This is not a call for salvation, for all in this invitation list are already in the family of God. This is the call that the Lord Jesus made when He said:
“He that hath ears to hear, let him hear”.
This is a call for the overcomers.
“Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely”(Rev 3:20-22, Rev 22:17).
Let Us Pray
Our Father, we pray that the fullness of Your Kingdom will come soon. We pray for the time when every unbeliever in the universe will turn to Jesus Christ as Savior.
We pray for the day when the uttermost parts of the earth will come under the dominion of Jesus the King and the Anointed One.
We pray for the day when all kingdoms will bow before Him and all nations serve Him.
We pray for the day when “the mountain of the house of the Lord, Your government of kings and priests after the order of Melchizedek, “shall be established on the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow unto it” (Micah 4:1).
Lord, we pray that you complete the building of your Church as you promised and show the adversary your manifold wisdom. In the Day of your power, Lord, make your people willing and energize us, as the rod of your strength to subdue your enemy under your feet. Let us be a part of your army.
And now, Lord, unto You “that is able to keep us from falling, and to present us faultless before the presence of Your glory with exceeding joy,
“To You the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen”.
