O’ give thanks unto the LORD; for He is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
Let the Children of GOD now say, that his mercy endureth for ever.
Let the Royal Priesthood now say, that his mercy endureth for ever.
And let them that fear the LORD say, that his mercy endureth for ever”
(Psa 118 paraphrased)
Thank you LORD for You have been our refuge, our strength, and our song, and You have been our salvation. Your right hand, O LORD is exalted, Your right hand ‘doeth valiantly’ (Psa 118)
O give thanks to Jehovah; call on His name; make known His deeds among the people.
Some trust in horses, chariots, economy, politicians, arm of man, BUT…we trust In the Name of the Lord JESUS.
Now know I that the LORD saveth his anointed; he will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand. Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God” (Psa 20:6,7). “The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe”(Prov 18:10).
“Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain. It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep” (Psa 127:1,2).
Thank YOU for preserving the true Church of Jesus Christ on earth, For indeed as Isaiah the prophet said:
“Except the LORD of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom, and we should have been like unto Gomorrah”(Isa 1:9). (Brethren: Please Read Isaiah 1:9-27)
Thank You LORD for Your unchangeable decree in the concluding portion of the prophecy above(Isa 1:27) that–“Zion will be pardoned by the LORD’S justice, and those who return will be pardoned by the LORD’S righteousness” (GW Translation vs 27). (In KJV it’s rendered: Zion shall be redeemed with judgment, and her converts with righteousness.)
Thank You LORD for turning us back to Yourself. For, like Ephraim, we are a cake not turned. Turn us O’ God, and we shall be turned, for You are the Lord our God
Then we, Your people and sheep of Your pasture, will give You thanks forever; we will show forth Your praise to all generations. We will “give thanks to thee, Jehovah, among the nations, And will sing psalms to thy name. Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens; let thy glory be above all the earth”(2Sa 22:50, Psa 57:5).
SING:
I Will give ‘Thanks to THEE’
O’ God among the people
I will give praises to THEE, among the nations
For Thy precious love is great
It is great to the heavens
And Thy faithfulness, Thy faithfulness to the clouds
Chorus:
Be exalted O’ God above the heavens
Let thy glory, be over all the earth
Be exalted, O’ God, above the heavens
Let Thy glory be over all the earth
We stand still in awe of You, O’ Lord, We Worship You our God;
Be exalted among the nations, be exalted in the earth.
For the earth is Yours, LORD “and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. For YOU hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods. Who shall ascend into YOUR hill O’ LORD? or who shall stand in YOUR holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation” (Psa 24 paraphrased).
“This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah. Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah (Psa 24:6-10).
For ” Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created”(Rev 4:11).
You are worthy to take the book and to open its seals, for You were slain and have redeemed us to God by Your blood out of every kindred and tongue and people and nation.
SING:
Give Thanks, with a grateful heart
Give thanks, to the Holy One
Give Thanks, because He’s given Jesus Christ, His Son
Give Thanks, with a grateful heart
Give thanks, to the Holy One
Give Thanks; because He’s given Jesus Christ, His Son
And now, Let the weak say I am strong
Let the poor say I am rich
Because of what the Lord has done,
For us, Give Thanks…
We Give Thanks, We Give Thanks
Thank You Jesus for dying for us.
Thank You for the blood You shed, and the bloody beatings you took.
“Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed” (Isa 53:4-5).
Thank You for enduring the indescribable agony of the cross for us
Thank You for the cross.
Thank You for making full payment of the debt we owe;
Thank You for meeting the total demands of Justice on our behalf;
Thank You for finishing it all. Yes, we heard it when you shouted “It is Finished”
Thank You for overcoming, “finishing off” Satan, our former slave master;
“O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Cor 15:55).
Thank you for ‘spoiling principalities and powers for us;
Thank You for making ‘a show of them openly’, triumphing over them;
Thank You for delivering us from the dominion of darkness and translating us into Your Kingdom, the Kingdom of God’s dear Son, and in You we now have redemption and the forgiveness of sin.
And not only these, Thank You for making us kings and priests unto God Who is now, in every way, our Father. Thank You JESUS.
“And He made us kings and priests to our God, and we will reign
over the earth. Blessing and honor and glory and power be to Him
sitting on the throne, and to the Lamb forever and ever”.
“Now unto Him that is able to keep us from falling, and to
present us faultless before the presence of His glory with
exceeding joy, To the only wise God our Savior, be glory
and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever” (Jude 1:24). Amen.
